Well prepared
for winter season

Hello ,
a sunny summer with many beautiful days on the water has passed. Now the winter season is just around the corner. Time for work that is not possible during the ongoing season. Sanding, painting and repairing are the keywords. But first, the boat has to be winterized.
Our checklist for winter storage:
- Empty and disinfect tanks and water reservoirs so frozen water
doesn’t cause damage when it expands
- Secure engine against freezing according to manufacturer’s instructions
(either drain coolant, or replace with antifreeze with corrosion protection)
- Check valves, hoses and lines, replace hoses and hose clamps if necessary.
- Depending on type of drive and boat construction, check anodes and shafts
- Check and clean propeller
- Inspection of the bottom
- For sailboats, inspect hull-keel connection and all components of mast hydraulics and electrics
- Check moving parts for hairline cracks and corrosion
- Check shrouds and railing wires
- Flush anchor chain and chain locker and check chain for corrosion
and damage, replace chain markings if necessary
